This Privacy Policy explains how Course.link ("Course.link", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, dashboard, and the course sites hosted on our platform (together, the "Service").

Who this policy covers

Creators are people who sign up to build and sell courses. Students are people who sign up to access a creator's course. For student data, the creator decides what content to offer and who can access it, and we process that data to run the Service on the creator's behalf.

Information we collect

• Account details: name, email address or phone number, and login credentials.
• Content you add: course titles, descriptions, videos, links, files, images, and page content.
• Learning activity: enrolments, lesson progress, quiz and assignment responses, and certificates.
• Payment information: purchase records and payout details. Card payments are handled by Stripe or Razorpay, and we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through privacy-friendly analytics.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including course delivery and student access.
• To process payments, subscriptions, and payouts.
• To send service messages such as sign-in links, receipts, and important account updates.
• To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

• With the creator whose course a student joins, so they can manage their students.
• With service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processors.
• With integrations a creator enables, such as Google or Meta tracking on their course site.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Creators who enable third-party integrations on their course sites are responsible for any additional cookies those integrations set.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymise its personal information unless we must keep it for legal, tax, or security reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account details from your dashboard. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to certain processing. Students should contact the creator of their course first, and we will help where we can.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and creators must not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the dashboard.
